Weekly Finish #16 Pinwheel Sampler
Well, I finally finished it and I LOVE it! I joined the pinwheel sampler quilt-along hosted by Rachel of p.s. i quilt in February but put it aside in my UFO pile. I recently got motivated to finish it up when I saw the finished quilts that others had made. This was such a fun and easy project that I’m tempted to make another one!
I spent all day yesterday quilting and binding it so I could link up today to Sew & Tell Friday! Great motivation! I quilted it using an overall heart and loopy design, and it measures 56 x 68 inches.
This was my third blogging quilt-along, and they’re just a lot of fun. I would have never tried a pinwheel sampler on my own, so thanks to Rachel for hosting!
Linking up again to Amy's Sew and Tell Fridays … visit her post to see more sewing finishes! I am also linking up to Lit & Laundry’s Finished for Friday.
Gosh, it's so fresh and bright and lovely! Thanks for sharing. Happy Sewing! :o)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Yours is so bright and cheery!I love these quilts. It's nice to try something you wouldn't have.
ReplyDeleteThe Pinwheel Sampler was my first finished quiltalong and, I agree, it was a good chance to try something new. Yours is beautiful and I bet you smile every time you look at it. The alternating squares in the border are particularly effective. I may have to try that on a future quilt.
ReplyDeletethis is so beautiful. you did such an amazing job. love the colors.
ReplyDeleteWow! I just love how yours turned out! Beautiful colors. Congratulations on a job well done, and thank you for linking up to Finished for Friday.

What a wonderful, happy quilt! Love the vibrant colors you chose, and the checkerboard borders finished it off perfectly!
ReplyDeleteAll that pinwheel yumminess! I am really loving quilt alongs. i have joined up to my third due to start in a week. My second one hasn't finished yet but it is only every 2 weeks which is just perfect. A block every couple of weeks is so achievable for me.

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I'm loving quilt alongs - such a great way to fit in quilts in small doses in between the stuff you have to do!
ReplyDeleteRita I love how you added the extra little blocks on the border. It really gives this quilt a vibrant feel to it. I made one but yours is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI came over from the Pinwheel flickr group. Your quilt turned out so nice. You are inspiring me to get mine finished. I became a follower, because I enjoyed reading some of your other posts. I'm sure I'll be back to see what else you are doing.
