Weekly Finish #21: Spring Pinwheel Sampler
Spring Pinwheel Sampler #2
Finished Size: 54" x 67"
The pattern is from a 2010 pinwheel sampler quilt-along by Rachel Griffith Designs, which is still available here.
I finished this quilt top in April and posted more details here. This is a re-do of the first quilt I made in 2010 which I no longer have because I sold it. Boo hoo!
I needed a twin-size batting so I made a trip to Joann's. Unfortunately, they didn't have my usual fave Warm & Natural and I ended up buying Pellon's 100% Natural Cotton batting. I have to say I don't like this batting very much because it's not as soft or "cuddly". I also think the batting shrank too much. I love crinkly quilts but my quilt is too crinkly - if there's such a thing LOL. Maybe a few more washings will help.
The backing is a pretty spring floral print, and of course, the label completes the quilt. I'm keeping this quilt in my collection and is on display for the spring and summer months.

Congratulations on the lovely finish! Such a pretty quilt. Too bad that batting didn't work out, but the quilt is pretty all the same. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
