Woo hoo!  Yes, another happy dance because I finally quilted my Bouillabaisse top which I finished in 2010 and posted about here .   This is a photo of my first Bouillabaisse quilt which I made in 2003 in class at my LQS.  I really enjoyed making this quilt which was much easier than my second one. Bouillabaisse Top - 2010 I had so many issues with this second one and by the last few blocks, I couldn't care less if anything matched.  I was just glad to get the top pieced and it's been in my "to be quilted" pile for the past 11 years. And now that it's finally quilted, I don't see any "issues" that bother me and I love it! I quilted it with an all-over design of meandering loops which was pretty easy and fun to do.  The pieced backing is made from 100% cotton bed sheets, and the batting is Warm & Natural.  The quilt measures 82" x 103" and the   pattern  is by Pie In The Sky Quilts. I started my quilting journey way back in 1999 as we were getting ready for the end of the second millennium.  Being a new quilter, I was caught up in the Y2K charm swaps and participated in several swaps between 1999 and 2000.  Four, as a matter of fact, and 21  years later, I finally completed my fourth Y2K quilt.  I thought I'd do a little show-and-tell going back to my first one from 2000.  1. Mock Log Cabin - finished June 2000 - made from 3-inch charm squares - the quilt measures 80" x 96" - gifted to my DD. 2. William's Charm Quilt - finished July 2004 - made from 2,000 squares that were originally 3" but I trimmed them down to 2-1/2".  I gifted this quilt to a co-worker. 3. Y2K Charm Quilt - started in 2006 and finished December 2020 - made from 2-1/2" squares.  There are 2,000 charms plus signature squares.  The quilt measures 86" x 105" and is currently on my bed. 4. Y2K Wedding Rings Quilt - finished December 2021  - last but

  The progress continues on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt .  Finally finished Clue 3 and am trying to keep up.   Clue 4 came out this past Friday and I'm slowly but surely working on these units in between other family activities.  The next clue comes out on Monday so we have a few extra days but I don't think I'll have these finished before then.  I'm okay if I fall behind as I can probably catch up in January. Dandy Star Stash Buster Quilt   Another finish and another happy dance!  I started this quilt back in July when I decided to do the stash buster challenge by Border Creek Station . I love, love, love how this quilt turned out.  I previously posted about my progress  here and here . By Jacquie Anderson I was originally going to add a border similar to this quilt that inspired me but I decided my quilt didn't really need it.  I am so glad I added the inner ribbon border instead. Each Dandy Star block is 9 inches and, except for the backing, the entire top was made from scraps and yardage in my stash. This is the second top I quilted on my Moxie.  I am a little embarrassed to post this picture.  My quilting was done free-hand (no pantographs, boo hoo) and I decided to get fancy by doing a flower motif.  No prior practice, I just jumped right in, so my quilting is very "rustic" LOL.  It's not perfect, but the last pass is better than the first and it just takes practice

  It's that time of year when Bonnie Hunter @ Quiltville releases her annual mystery quilt clues.  This year's mystery quilt is Rhododendron Trail . I want to say this is my third Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt with Frolic being my first one from last year which was released in 2019. And this year I completed Grassy Creek, my second mystery quilt, which was released a year ago. But I'm also working on the Unity Quilt which was a bonus mystery that Bonnie released last year during the pandemic lockdown. But since Unity is no longer a mystery, I will say that Rhododendron Trail  is my third Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt.  I'm trying my best to keep up with the weekly clues and so far so good.  The first 2 clues are done and I'm working on the third clue which should be finished by Friday when the 4th clue is released. Woo hoo!  I'm doing a happy dance because I finally  finished my Y2K quilt that I started back in September.   I used 3" squares that I swapped in 2000 to make the 50 Wedding Rings blocks.  I am so glad I did not have to cut out those 2,000 squares which was a big time saver. I really enjoyed looking at the different fabric choices from 20 years ago and reading the short biographies that were included with the signature squares.  I received charms from quilters in Virginia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Oregon, California, Maine, Maryland, Wisconsin, New York, Texas, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Illinois.  I also received a few from international swappers in Canada, Hong Kong, and Cuba.   I used 49 blocks for the front in a 7x7 setting and used the 50th block in the backing. I pieced the backing with fabric that is printed with the year 2000 and Y2K that I've had for as long as I've had these squares.  I finally can put it to good use! This is the firs
