Quilty Finish #7: Comfort Quilt for Kids

| Comfort Quilt for Kids #247 |
Size: 51" x 65"
Started 7/7/05 - Finished 8/6/20
Finally finished quilting and binding the second top my DD made. After my Mega Quilter konked out, I finished quilting the border on my regular machine with a straight stitch. BTW, I dropped off my machine and it'll take 4 weeks (a month!) to get it back. They are super busy with repairs due to the pandemic. Sigh.
I'm so glad they are both finished. I'm not sure if I'm going to hang on to them for a great-grandbaby, who could be years from now! Or gift them to a foster mother I know who has two little girls of her own. She is an amazing young woman, and her girls are adorable.
Update 02/13/21: These were donated to Project Linus.

Until next time ... be happy and keep quilting!

Congrats on finishing your daughter's 2nd quilt. You ladies did great teamwork! Hoping your Mega Quilter machine will be OK. It's NO FUN when your work horse decides it needs a vacation! (My longarm was out of commission for most of the summer.)
ReplyDeleteVery bold and bright quilts, which is the very best kind! Congrats on getting both finished.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the colors on this one too!! they are just so happy. Sorry about the konking out!! hopefully they can repair it really really really quick!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful quilts, and yay for shopping the stash. Bummer on the length of time to get your Mega Quilter back; so many strange things like that with this pandemic. Thanks for linking up with TGIFF!
