Weekly Finish #14-#20: Comfort Quilts For Kids

The H2H Comfort Quilt Challenge was over at the end of May.  I was late in submitting my entry form for any prizes, but I still submitted the form so my 7 comfort quilts can be included in the final count.  As of 2 weeks ago, there were 562 comfort quilts donated to various organizations as part of the H2H challenge!  That's amazing!

Last year, I put together these fabric & pattern "kits" but I didn't find the time to finish them until now.  Using my GO! Big cutter, I spent a couple of days doing all the cutting.
And because they are small and everything was together, I was able to sew 1 or 2 tops a day.  Then, I spent another couple of days quilting them with a simple overall stipple design. I attached the binding by machine and finally finished them yesterday.
Overall, it took less than 2 weeks from cutting to binding which also includes a trip to Joann's for backing fabric.  I'll be taking these comfort quilts to the drop-off location tomorrow and am actually taking 15 quilts -- these 7 plus the 8 baby quilts I finished in April.  So happy to be donating these to Project Linus.

If you'd like to see what other quilters are sharing, please visit the following linky parties which I'm happy to join:
Until next time ...
Be happy and keep on quilting!
